The Marshall Road PTA hosts two book fairs for families – one in the Fall and one in the Spring. The fall book fair raises money for the MR Library and the Spring book fair provides a 2 for 1 purchase incentive, where no money is raised, but families are able to purchase books more cheaply
Fall 2011 Book Fair: To the Book Fair and Beyond! Reading is Out of this World!
Blast off at this year’s Scholastic Book Fair and support reading in our schools! All funds raised through the book fair will go directly to the library to purchase books and technology that Ms. McKeon needs to help promote reading comprehension and fluency.
Highlights for this year’s fair include:
- A new online book store for our school! Thousands of books not available at our in-school book fair can be purchased by students, family and friends at the online store! Items purchased through the online book store are delivered directly to the school with no shipping within 3 days of the order being placed. Orders will be sent home with students through their homeroom teacher.
- Our annual reading contest! For every book read or 20 minutes spent reading, students can complete a “Spaceman” contest entry form and put it in the box in the library for a chance to win a free book at the book fair (drawings to be held each morning during the book fair and announced by the morning new team). If additional entry forms are needed, they can be picked up in the library! We will be sending the entry forms home along with a family letter and the Scholastic Book Fair Flyer.
