There are so many rewards for reading: imagining new places, solving a mystery, learning new vocabulary, but now we have another kind of reward!

Current information:
Reading logs, pledge forms and funds should be coming back to school! Last day to turn in forms is March 2nd!
Look for announcent of our record-setting readers and for a drawing to win an Amazon Kindle Fire (for every $50 raised a student will be entered into the raffle) in early March!
Classes who read the most or have raised the most will have special celebrations. Individuals who have read the most (one person each from K-2; 3-6) will have lunch with the principal and their name on the MRES marquee.

Initial onset of program :
During the readathon, Marshall Road students will be encouraged to read as many minutes as possible! Roadrunners can read and raise money for our school by getting pledges, or just read and keep track of your minutes..
Readathon runs February 7 – 21. Reading logs and pledge forms will come home on Tuesday, Feb. 7!
- read for as many minutes as possible each day
- ask family and friends to sponsor your reading and raise money for our school by pledging to donate any amount of thier choosing
- record your minutes each day
- reading in school counts
- having someone read to you, counts
- the student who reads the most minutes earns lunch with Principal Heiges and your na me on the marquee (1 student each from K-2 and from grades 3-6.
- the class that reads the most minutes earns a popsicle party
- the class that raises the most money earns a game party
Week of April 16 – ALL students who turn in a reading log will earn a $5 gift certificate to the Spring Bookfair at Marshall Road. For every $50 raised by a student, he/she will earn a chance to enter a drawing to win an Amazon Kindle Fire. All proceeds will go towards our Marshall Road Art Appreciation and Outreach programs.
